In 1946, Léon Bard converted his farm in Les Barandons into a country inn with 3 guest rooms. The homemade pastries also attracted a steady stream of visitors to the inn.
At the end of the 1950s, the family’s son, Alain Bard, took over the family business. The inn was extended both in height and width, and gained a pool, a wellbeing area with spa and sauna and a 420 m² covered garage. The guest rooms now totalled 30.
In 2002, Agnès, Alain Bard’s daughter, took over at the helm.
In 2006, the 4th generation of Bards joined the business. Celick was only 22 when he decided to buy the hotel which was facing financial difficulties, to ensure it stayed in the family. He undertook a 4-stage programme of renovation work which was completed in 2012.
